Hats and Electronics Off, Away, and Invisible
Hats and Electronics Off, Away, and Invisible
UTLA and SBM have been pushing for a coherent and progressive discipline policy at LAHS.
We have not yet completely accomplished that goal.
However, there have been great strides. Last semester, at the inception of the enforcement of the no hats and electronics policy, there was signficant progress.
We have seen some tapering off of this. While we can't always count on administrative support, we can count on each other.
Help with the hats and electronics policy.
Overheard when a teacher spotting a student with a single earphone, "Is the president coming?"

Fernandez gave a great announcement today--students wearing hats will have them confiscated, students riding skateboards on campus will have them confiscated... it was a good reminder that administration is behind us on this. Let's not take pot shots; let's just do our job

What about students who wear hoods in classrooms? Personally, I do NOT allow them to wear hoods in my room, but it would be nice to hear administration mention hoods in their announcements, etc.
